The Wellness Ready™ Insulin Test is a new stall side blood test that allows veterinarians to instantly determine a horse’s risk for laminitis. This potentially life-saving tool allows veterinarians to identify and manage horses prone to founder due to endocrine disorders such as Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) and Equine Cushing’s Disease (PPID). The Wellness Ready test kit is available in a 10-pack and a 25-pack. RFID cards are not in each individual test kit. Please look for them inside the 10 or 25 pack bag. 

What's in the box? 

Each Test Kit includes: 

  • Insulin cassette (1)
  • Transfer pipette (1)
  • Running buffer bottle (1)

For veterinarian use only. Refrigerate kits immediately upon receipt. Remove kits from refrigeration and allow them to reach 59-86 F before conducting tests.

    Test reader is required to complete the Wellness Ready Insulin Test and is sold separately. 

    The Wellness Ready reader is available in two different version. The Gen 1 reader (while supplies last) does require that the unit has batteries or is plugged into a power source to work. 

    The Cube Reader Plus is rechargeable and bluetooth capable. Both readers come in a hard shell carrying case.
